The CM Punjab Kissan Card is the province’s flagship farmer support program for 2026 — an interest-free digital credit card that lets eligible farmers buy fertilizer, seed, and pesticides on credit of up to Rs. 150,000 per crop season. Over 530,000 cards have been issued so far, with Rs. 43 billion disbursed in agri loans.
Here’s how it works, who qualifies, and how to register.
What Is the Kissan Card?
Launched in June 2024 and now in expanded phases for 2026, the Kissan Card is a Bank of Punjab-issued digital card — not a cash handout. You use it at registered dealers to buy approved inputs; the purchase deducts from your seasonal credit limit. At season’s end you repay only the principal — the government pays all interest (0% markup for you).
Each card is valid for six months (one crop season) and renewable after repayment.

Is the Kissan Card loan really interest-free?
Yes. You repay only the principal you spent; the Punjab government pays the markup to the Bank of Punjab.

At registered agri-input dealers for fertilizer, seed, and pesticides — plus agricultural tube-well bill payments.
